The newer laptops are not coming with a SVGA output. And since none of our HP's that have a SVGA port have a port with mounting screws, the connection could come loose during a presentation.But our projectors are old enough that they do not have the newer HDMI port. With this convertor we can use whatever length HDMI cable and convert to SVGA. You will still need an SVGA cable to connect this convertor to the projector. But we can make this work just fine.
