Ideal for alternators and alternators
This alternator was installed quickly and has worked great for several months. It came with a "dyno test sheet" that showed how many amps it was putting out at various RPMs. Although this alternator is sold as a 35 amp unit, it delivers about 50 amps over 3000 rpm (similar to the alternators sold as "high output" for the 1GM10). I would definitely buy another one, although I'll try my hand at repairing the diode block on my original alternator instead.
