Review on πŸ‘Ÿ Vibram CVT Hemp Men's Sneaker in Khaki, Size 10.5-11 by Alex Gilbert

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Approved for everyday use

I've been using the Vibram Five Fingers in the gym for years but never as an everyday shoe. My knees were starting to bother me with my sketchers, and I also heard whispers about the shoe's minimalist movement, so I decided to take a chance. I am not disappointed in them. Switching to them was probably the best decision of my life. By slowly increasing the wear time over several weeks, I noticed a gradual decrease in pain and irritation in my knees by the end of the day. While I still get the occasional seizure when I take the wrong step, it's not nearly as bad when I'm wearing regular shoes. Obviously they can't repair the damage caused by years of improper walking and running, but they can certainly mitigate ongoing damage by encouraging proper walking style and form. The great thing about them is that they are airy and light on the back of the foot. My feet never feel like they overheat in them. Not like you are used to from normal shoes. I recommend several pairs of good quality socks although they are not required as they will greatly reduce your foot odor at the end of the day. That brings me to the only negative of all Vibram Five Fingers shoes. The smell of feet. The soles of the feet tend to be quite smelly, less so with socks. So remember to wash your shoes in the washing machine at least once a week and then let them dry on the floor. If the smell bothers you, remember to wash your feet after you take off your shoes and you'll be golden. I think I should also mention her landing. I never realized how loose and ill-fitting my other five toes were until I tried the hemp walking shoes. They literally fit like a glove. They are firm, secure and fit my finger length perfectly. I should mention that I left a gap of about 1cm at the end of each toe so the fabric doesn't pinch the toe. I'll say they're a little tight for an hour or so if you're wearing socks in them, but they loosen up pretty well during that time and are good for the rest of the day. As for arch support. I wouldn't say they have them, but you could argue they do as the sole fits nicely on the bottom of my foot/arch. Finally, the outsole is quite flexible. So much so that I can curl my toes under my foot for stretching throughout the day. Something I can't do with my other Five Fingers. These are the best shoes I've ever owned, even if they're expensive.
