I've been using mine for a few months now and have never had any indication of a leak. The small filter works well if you change it regularly. Not all devices are the same. There are very slight differences in tolerances, sizes, shape, bevel etc with all this cheap hardware including hose fittings etc. It either fits you or it doesn't. No one uses lab plugs here. You may need to try several different sources to get one that works with your existing fixtures. There is no magic tool that works with everything. Pay money and take risks. Mine worked great. I ride around 3300 PSI with no problems.
