I have read many reviews on this product, some positive and some not so good, but for what I wanted it was the best product I could get at a reasonable price . I have a solid steel bumper and there was literally no damage to the rear. Like I said my front end is mostly plastic and when it hit me I was in my tracks. I was hit by a truck in front of me. I thought the front of my truck was smashed, but it wasn't. Nothing at all. No damage at all. You could see where my Curt spare wheel carrier had dented the steel bumper of the truck in front of me, but there was no damage to my spare wheel carrier. Even the powder was perfect. I drove away from an accident that was going to wreck my truck because I bought a Curt spare tire holder and installed it on my truck. The best investment I've ever made. I'll buy another one and put it on the back. Highly recommended. The best product ever.
