This worked well to allow me to have 2 cameras on a remote CAT6 cable routed to the outside corner of my house. It didn't work at first and I urge anyone having trouble to check 2 p.1. Make sure your line is on both ends of 586A or 586B and not mixed. (Not my problem but mentioned by others) 2. Make sure the end of the cable is in good condition. At first mine worked fine with one camera but not with two. I swapped the cable connector on the external home cable and both cameras were recognized immediately.
