The previous owner of my truck installed a Flowmaster. Everything was fine for the first few months, but eventually I started to go crazy on the road. Tow a trailer? Better bring earplugs. As soon as the 40 started to rust, I searched the forums for a muffler with a near-stock idle and a low grunt came out when you pressed your foot. This item fits the bill. I could swear it got louder after the first 1000 miles or so, but that could be all in my head. Nevertheless, I am very satisfied with the sound. zero drone.
