Review on ARES 18012 Professional Stainless Convenient by Jake Jones

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Of this kind it is excellent quality and price. But a little difficult to use at first time.

Value for money: This set is the cheapest of these bench bell sets. Everything seems to come from the same factory in China, so why pay 40% more for a "brand name"? I was happy with the quality. Comes in a decent ABS plastic case so I can throw it in the closet for 1 year or next time I need it and everything will be in there. I just wish they weren't so expensive because other types of torches are $30. It definitely kept me on the fence about buying this. But when I got it, it was worth it. Once I got used to the workflow it made perfect flashes every time and I'm not worried. My only regret is that I don't have to do more than 6-12 flares for the entire brake assembly because this tool does it professionally, like an assembly line! First Time Use/Instructions: No paper instructions included. The supplier sent me a PDF with instructions so keep an eye on that in your email. Mine ended up in the spam filter. But as I said, the same tool got a crazy rebrand so you can search the web for guides or videos. It's the same as Eastwood. I made "Double Bubble" rockets for British cars, not the usual "Double Inverted". See if you need a description. It does both. Big! However, the instructions only apply to the inverted flash. The machine has basic "operation steps". 0, 1, and sometimes 2. They just do 0, 1, 2, right? Not correct. It took me a while to figure out that for Double Bubble or DIM blitzes you do 0 then 1 dim (with the cube block set to a V shaped cross section THEN flip the CUBE and step 1 dim AGAIN with execute the cube in U- It's a bit counter-intuitive It was crucial to have an existing double bubble or DIM flare to compare the end results!how to use the instructions are deceptively simple and may be incomplete don't get discouraged It works fine once you get the hang of it.
