Review on 🔧 Mini Snap Ring Pliers Set: Heavy Duty External/Internal Circlip Pliers - Straight/Bent Jaw - Remover and Retaining Functions (4 Pcs) by Joel Miranda

These are nice little pliers but they need a bit of work. They barely worked for my purposes, which is removing and reinserting snap rings, which were small, but not very small. The plier tips are ground to an unequal pin diameter and tapering circumference towards the tip, giving them a lighter taper shape than the tips of traditional SAE snap ring pliers (usually ground to an inverted taper at the end). They need a little trimming with a needle file or emery cloth to even out and improve the shape. The problem is that I don't think it's hardened tool steel, so crimping can loosen the tabs. Luckily my use was with the locking rings exposed. I think they would be difficult to use if it was a captured i/d ring of the same size.
