Review on E8012S 12V Universal Electric Fuel Pump - Low Pressure (5-9 PSI) with Installation Kit by Jim Bijelic

First of all, this item was great. It works like a champ for me and hasn't given up in the year I've been using it. My experience was great but my pump was NEVER dry and acted like a suction cup. If you use this pump properly, it will probably be fine. My suspicion about people complaining about its death or lack of suction is pretty simple. This is a pump that probably hates running dry. In my opinion this is NOT a suction pump and it MUST pull the fuel by gravity to keep it wet. I think that's why there are good reviews and there are terrible reviews. If you want something to suck 2ft of fuel from a deep gas tank or bucket, chances are it will die. Then you are probably one of the angry people.
