Review on ⌚ Gates TCKWP307A: Ensuring Precision with Engine Timing Belt Kit and Water Pump by Andre Brignac

I have never had a problem with a Gates kit and most components have been fine. However, the water pump in this kit (only the part made in China) did not quite fit. All the holes lined up well but they weren't wide enough to fill the gap of the standard pump as you can see in the picture. Also, the pump was leaking, causing my car to overheat! The mechanic cited my early HG failure for a water pump leak through the drain hole at 12,000 miles. Gates says it's under warranty, but I can't find any information on how to handle warranty items on their website. The third party I bought it from (Stockwise Auto) was helpful and offered to ship a new one. However, I would recommend that you buy an OEM pump!
