Eliminates the need to run cables from the camera to the main unit. The remote video transmitter unit is powered via the connection to the (white) reversing lights. No additional wiring is required. The receiver is easy to install on the head unit (RCA connector for video, power and ground). Most head units also need to be hooked up to a transmission circuit that changes voltage when 'Reverse' is selected (I just set a toggle switch on the dash to manually select when I want to use the rear camera).
