This is a good product but with one major flaw. I bought this to give my feline sized Chihuahua mix a separate room from my Beagle/Basset mix. My Chihuahua mix eats slowly and throughout the day with full access to food while the Beagle pup has strict portions and times. The Beagle can be something of a handful for my Chihuahua, so it's good for her to have a room to go to and escape his madness. Enter this door. Installing the door was easy, according to some reviews. Please be sure to read the giant label that explains the large mounting gap. Installing it in the middle of the door was easy and the whole process only took about 15 minutes. Very durable, easy to use and good looking. The problem is that my pup, who is slightly larger than an adult beagle (currently 40lbs), can just waltz through the small door. I chose this door because it is the smallest opening, but it was still too big. Solution: While some people just cut the latch off the small door and keep it closed, I wanted to avoid destroying the product. I turned to some zippers and thinned the hole (vertical strips of zippers) and that seems to have helped. The little dog loves it and withstands the jumps/paws of big dogs, rams without shaking.
