This monitor can easily be rated from 1 to 5 stars. Above all. The move to 4K is amazing, and going back to a 1080p display will be difficult. HDR and brightness/contrast are excellent. However, your individual experience with this display will be very different. I had to send back the first device I received. Unfortunately for an ASUS product, it looks like the quality control for this display is terrible. A huge problem with such an expensive monitor. In their defence, it's also up to date and only the X27 has similar specs and suffers from the same issues! My first device had a backlight problem. At first I thought it was a cable or driver issue. Despite new cables and a reinstall, I still had occasional flickering (CFL lamp coloring things) after 3-4 hours of use, regardless of refresh rate (60Hz and 98Hz). When the second monitor arrived, I immediately noticed the horrible fan noise. This prompted me to check the 1st for a dead fan which could explain my problems. Unfortunately I have to report that the first fan ran quietly and whispered. The second monitor makes a clicking fan noise, but luckily it's REALLY noticeable when nothing else is running. However, it is "always on". ***IMPORTANT*** Luckily there is a fix in Settings under Settings and Deep Sleep that causes the fan to turn off completely 5-10 minutes after the monitor turns off. I didn't dare to roll the dice again. Are you asking to replace the device and afraid of a dead pixel on the next? or other problems? I'm leaving this monitor and I hope I don't regret that decision in the coming months. If you buy this monitor, be sure to read the reviews and find out what you're getting into. Good block, you'll swear by this monitor. Also, don't forget that you need a powerful GPU to take advantage of it.
