After giving this ad a good time to get used to it, I think I can see it properly now. The first thing that struck me is that the white screens are absolutely terribly bright. These aren't the problems I expect from a $3,000 monitor. I have about 3 dead pixels in the corner, but the dead pixel guideline (not to be confused with ZBD/Zero Bright Point) is 3-5+. The monitor often doesn't wake up after I turn on my computer. It doesn't matter if I unplug the DP cable or the power cord and plug it back in, it takes a few tries before it turns back on. I bought this monitor last year and it started having problems when it randomly turned off during normal use. The only way to recover the picture is to unplug the power cord, wait a few seconds, and then plug it back in. Then it turns off again after about 10-15 minutes. I started the RMA process, paid for the packaging, used the FedEx label provided by customer service and mailed it to them on November 12th. It was returned to me on the 22nd and I commend them for such a quick turnaround time.

Update: DisplayPort/Resolution issue was caused by older GTX 1080 firmware which driver updates DO NOT FIX. If your screen is not responding at boot or at a lower resolution with a DisplayPort connection, check for a DisplayPort firmware update for your card. You need to download/install it manually from Nvidia website. Important caveats: 1. The DisplayPort connection is SUPER finicky. I tried several cables and only had luck with the one in the box.2. I got it because I wanted the best 4K gaming monitor. It's not the same and I ended up sending it back. I just can't live with the flower. It's very distracting and ruins the experience. The fan runs constantly and it's noticeable unless you're using closed-back headphones. The fan keeps running for a while even when the monitor is off. However, the HDR brightness is incredible.
