Update: DisplayPort/Resolution issue was caused by older GTX 1080 firmware which driver updates DO NOT FIX. If your screen is not responding at boot or at a lower resolution with a DisplayPort connection, check for a DisplayPort firmware update for your card. You need to download/install it manually from Nvidia website. Important caveats: 1. The DisplayPort connection is SUPER finicky. I tried several cables and only had luck with the one in the box.2. The DisplayPort connection does not support resolutions lower than 1080p. This doesn't seem like a huge issue on a big ol' 4K G-sync monitor, other than the fact that your motherboard's Windows and BIOS bugs love these lower resolutions, so any troubleshooting will require switching to HDMI as well. Which brings us to: 3. Obviously, HDMI is not G-Sync compatible. An old Nvidia problem. So if you've had to troubleshoot issues over HDMI, you'll need to go BACK to DisplayPort to regain your tearless goodness. The monitor does not cool well. It kept restarting for no reason and I eventually found that removing the bottom cover "fixed" this issue by allowing more air in and out. I couldn't find any firmware updates for any of the above issues.6. Haloing in extreme cases of HDR (starry nights, white mouse pointer moving on black background, etc.) Main advantages: 1. Looks 100% as beautiful as you think.2. TATE MODE! It's nice to have a slight twist in portrait mode.3. I hope you love the light as it brings the AOG logo to your ceiling and desktop as if yelling at Asus' most whimsical little Batman-like superhero.
