These are day time privacy curtains. They don’t block much light. At night they will prevent you from seeing out but people outside can see your shadow moving within with decent detail. The photos I attached show that you can clearly see the detail of my lace curtain beneath this curtain and the difference between a blackout curtain and this curtain in daylight (not sunlight). That being said, they are mostly advertised and they look fine. I wish they either were thicker or the fabric a bit nicer but for the price they are ok for a hallway window. I probably wouldn’t use them in a bedroom window as they’re too sheer or in a living room window where I’d put a nicer quality curtain.
