This rope wrapped in a box is 1/2 inch in diameter, which surprised me. I think when it's tightly wound the tight blade gets a little smaller. I'll report if it changes when you wind it up under pressure. A true 1/2 inch Dyneema rope has a minimum strength of 23,200 lbs and an average of 26,500 lbs. So if it ever breaks with my SUV, it's a fake. I will update if it doesn't work. I like the UV protection on the end and it's not too loose like some and needs to be wound tightly to fit on the spool. Make sure you have a scrub cover to slide over if you need a winch so it doesn't rub on stains or tear the fibers. 11/21/20
