Review on πŸ” Enhanced Filtration with Coleman Filtering Funnel: The Ultimate Solution for Efficient Separation by Megan Evans

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Smooth funnel, but most people can't figure out how to use it properly. instructions follow.

It is better to fill the tank with a conventional funnel. Be careful when using smaller flashlights like the Dual-Fuel 226. The tank will overflow when you pull it out and twist to drain the remaining fuel. It is designed for large stoves, lanterns and catalytic heaters. I've noticed that a lot of people are complaining that this funnel isn't working properly. I don't want to make you look like an idiot, but the connection of the funnel to the tank's filler neck MUST be airtight. Push it in hard! Without a good seal, it's like keeping the funnel off the filler neck. Air is forced out of the tank between the funnel and the neck, resulting in an overflow that defeats the purpose of the design. The black L-shaped part is a vent hole, not around the mouth like a regular funnel. The inside of the filler neck MUST be rust free and smooth. If it is rough or corroded, the funnel will not close tightly and use will eventually cause ridges in the soft plastic of the funnel to be pushed out, allowing air to seep through. People in the US might understand that. You must have slept in fifth grade science class. LOL Hope that clears things up!

Cons
  • Expensive insurance
