Review on 🔧 Aftermarket Replacement Carburetor for Kohler K161 K181 Engine by John Hickey

I bought this carb for my 8hp paint scheme. on a mobile milling machine from Troy Bilt. It fits and works like the original. But I had to follow another buyer's advice in the comments here and make a few simple changes to get everything fitted exactly like the original. Drill a hole in the throttle stick to make the original connection. Light. Then remove the choke from the old carburetor and replace it with a new one to make the choke work like the original. Otherwise it might still work, but that would be backwards. Finally, to install the original air cap, the top center screw hole is sufficient, but the two side holes mate with two blind unthreaded holes, just drill them a little more and tap the threads to accept the mounting screws. . It all seems PITA, but it didn't really matter to me. Especially when it saves a few hundred dollars on OEM Kohler or Walbro carburetors.
