This works for older non-smart Visio. And it worked with no configuration required. As others have noted, it doesn't feel durable so it may not last very long. Then there's the mysterious battery compartment. It would definitely help if there were instructions on how to find him. But once you figure out where it is, it's easy. This is the bottom panel on the front. The part that says: universal remote control. To start, use something like the tip of a knife blade on each side
