Review on πŸ–οΈ Faber-Castell Beeswax Crayons: 12 Vibrant Colors in a Sturdy Storage Case by Kristen Reid

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Great quality, beautiful colors

Update: After over a month of bullying, the only crayon that broke broke in half because my daughter literally jumped on it at a weird angle. She ate a large bite from the tip of navy blue and yellow (auspicious Van Gogh? Toddlers actually seem to find happiness in consuming good, bright yellow beeswax). I wouldn't recommend giving them to your kids as a snack, but given the speed of their hand-to-mouth movement, I'm glad I can be sure that they're actually non-toxic and generally very difficult to bite (you one giving your little one extra time to wrestle the crayon out of the stranglehold and soothe his agonized screams by vainly explaining that crayons are for drawing, not for eating). The paper miraculously held up when it was slid up and down, scratched by teeth, thrown on the floor, torn, rubbed against toys and furniture - you name it. I am really impressed. These crayons are bright and smooth, easy to draw. I bought these to teach my 13 month old daughter to write and she loved them straight away and now loves drawing wild lines on her drawing pad. They wash off our enamel countertops and tiled bathroom walls easily, but I haven't seen any marks on drywall or wood yet. Will update if (hopefully not) I ever have to try to remove something like this, but Mr Clean's Magic Eraser usually does wonders for such marks so I'm not too worried. I've been a fan of Faber-Castell for a long time, I used them for drawing myself and used their pencils, erasers and pastels at school when I lived in Germany. More reasons for five stars: The plastic body is unique and well thought out. a supplement that sticks very well to little hands that would rip through or eat the cardboard. The large size makes it easy for my 1 year old to hold in her fist and the triangular shape should eventually help her learn to hold the crayons between three fingers. They're extremely durable, withstanding being hit, thrown, standing, and repeatedly hitting a pad of paper for what I can only surmise should be a dot effect. The cheapest beeswax crayons on Revain but with 12 beautiful colors. Like all children's crayons, they are non-toxic.

Pros
  • Vibrant Crayon Colours: The more pigment in these glossy beeswax pencils, the less effort it takes to create rich colours. Your crayons will last longer and break less! Even works on black paper!
Cons
  • Doubtful
