Hello; I bought this item a week ago and from the start I had some issues with the item and the packaging.1. Package; it isn't, you get a coiled antenna, cable and receiver element.2. Construction; no reinforcement at stressed connections or cable ends.3. elementary design; a very thin strip of aluminum sandwiched between two layers of plastic.4. Adhesion; The base of the antenna is a 3-meter strip, but the antenna element itself has insufficient adhesion to the surface. I believe that both good and bad reviews on this item, if the item is handled with care and not too hard during transport, there is a good chance of picking up the radio frequency well. However, due to a bad connection between the cable and the element, it can be damaged very easily and make poor contact. The antenna element needs to be installed in a window or dashboard, but I don't recommend it, the thermal expansion of the metal foil and the plastic is not the same and with direct sunlight and several heating cycles it will definitely crack. The cable itself is very thin and seems prone to electrical interference, so I recommend running it farther away. From as many cables as possible to the center console, this item seems best for near field applications, but your mileage may vary. If I had known this beforehand I would not have purchased this item and opted to upgrade the antenna cable and mount to improve FM reception.
