Very easy replacement, 1 bolt, I did it in about 10 minutes. It's been on the truck for about 10,000 miles, I've dropped the stock 3 times since installing it and haven't noticed any problems. Based on other reviews I'll keep an eye on it and if there's a hint of rust this villain will be replaced. My spare tire/wheel is $250 more or less, so if I have to do this every 2 years I think it's worth it. It's better than finding out it didn't work when I see him galloping down the street in the mirror.
