I love these towels! We're trying to reduce our consumption and waste, so I took these as an alternative to paper towels. Since I put them through the wash, I don't like using them to wipe off oily and heavily soiled areas, so I keep a roll of paper towels handy. They are very good for mopping up spills, clearing counters and tables at night, and using as placemats at dinner (not fine dining). We have significantly reduced the use of paper towels. Note: I cut some into quarters so I have smaller rags. They wear out a bit in the washer and dryer, but I'm ok with that. If you want them to last and not tear you will need to sew/hem the sections.
