I bought it as a USB hub to charge small devices such as Bluetooth transmitters, but I am disappointed that it is even weaker than I thought. It's really just for connecting USB sticks and the like to your computer. I give 2 stars because of the 7 ports, one is still usable, albeit weak: the first port, which is closest to the power cable. I experimented a bit and was able to charge a few small devices and even power a 3D printing pen from this connector, but only from this connector. Unfortunately, this means that the entire splitter can only be a switch. It has its uses, but not what I was hoping for.
