These mats were made to me Recommended by a friend as an inexpensive alternative cutting mat for my Silhouette Cameo. The first two times I used this mat I was very happy - it worked great and seemed easier to use than the Silhouette mats. Unfortunately the mat ripped in half on the third use. I used thin paper and decided to lay the mat face down on the table and roll it slightly to loosen the paper rather than tearing it off the mat. This is a technique I've used MANY times with my Silhouette mat to avoid tearing or stretching of the paper and it's been a huge hit. Unfortunately, the Sizzix mat CANNOT be used in this way. As soon as I bent the rug slightly, it broke in two, ruining not only the rug but the design I was working on. I will continue to use a second mat with standard cardstock but will be buying Silhouette mats again in the future. that I was working on.
