My dog can't chew things very well because she has a big under bite. She was also a rescue, and the one toy that was left with her was one of these. It smelly and old so we put it up and never really got it done. A few years go by and I got it down to see if she would remember it, and she loved it! Do I ordered her some more here, and turns out she just loves these toys. She doesn't play with the old smelly one anymore luckily. But loves just sitting alone and playing and chewing on the other ones I got her. If you dog is a good chewer it will shred these in minutes to be honest. But they are perfect more my dog that can't really clamp down on things very well.
