At the beginning of the new year 2020 I decided to make Tamales easy for myself and as promised this product was delivered. Me and I alone made over 5 dozen tamales, jalapeno cheese and classic red meat in about two hours. WITHOUT this tool I've made a maximum of 2 dozen over the past few years because it took me at least five hours just to spread masa and they all varied in thickness. This tool - GOD sends. Now I'm thinking about starting a side business since making tamal is SUPER EASY AND SUPER FAST. What I love most is that I can actually control the amount of masa in each tamale so I can make masa. thin or thick if I want. After about a dozen inversions, you'll be comfortable and feel the pressure as you apply the masa. Cleaning is as easy as washing a plate. The durable plastic will not crack under the maximum pressure needed to spread the mass, and the pressure required is very low. (Note: If you are using a lot of pressure to spread, ADD MORE WATER! The masa will be too dry. Be careful with it. If not, ask for trouble) SO.
