4/5 common stand. He's super persistent. It has 4 grip pads on the bottom to keep it in place and it also has a knurled grip surface that the tablet rests on to keep it in place when on the stand. Another thing I like is that it is very compact and folds almost flat. So when you travel with it or store it somewhere, it won't take up much space. If you have a plain iPad case that doesn't have a front, or one like the one in the photo that can chip off the front, you can still place your tablet in a stand with a protective cover. With that in mind, the only improvement I see is that the small tablet holders can be a bit wider to accommodate iPad cases that have both a front and back. Removing the front of the protective case to properly use the stand is quite inconvenient. Other than that, this is a quality stand. would recommend.
