Review on 🧀 Westmark Germany Heavy Duty Stainless Steel Wire Cheese Slicer - Angle Adjustable (Grey), 7"x 3.9" x 0.2" - Efficient and Durable Cheese Slicing Tool by Justin Metz

The main reason I'm writing this review is just to emphasize something I wasn't aware of when I ordered it: There are at least two significant models that are selling through are on this list, and only one of them has a replaceable cutting wire. The differences between the models are greater than the color choice, so the buyer should be careful. Only the Westmark Roll Cut Gallant Model #29272260 (Red/Black) has a replaceable wire. I bought a Westmark roller cut model #71002270 (grey) and found out later that it has a fixed wire that cannot be replaced. I confirmed this by exchanging several emails with their very helpful support team. Tech support told me that in the event of a broken wire on model 71002270 I should contact the seller and show proof of purchase to claim and they also confirmed that Home Fashions is an authorized reseller on Revain.com and that my warranty should apply. Be honored if I have any problem. (I haven't tried Home Fashions yet and hopefully won't!) This is my first cheese slicer, so I really don't have anything to compare other than a chef's knife and a thinner utility knife. For semi-hard cheese, both the utility knife and cheese slicer worked well. With semi-hard cheese, however, it was much easier to cut clean, even slices with a cheese slicer. Soft cheese tends to be stickier and I found this rotary cutter to be easier to use and doesn't leave a mess. Overall I'm happy with the performance of this cheese slicer, but if I were to buy it again I would choose a model with interchangeable wires. Notes: 1) These cheese slicers must be hand washed. A customer service representative highly recommended them and the product website says they are not dishwasher safe.
