Force required to insert Scary SMA Jack
SMA jacks require tremendous force to insert. It looks like the spring force on the middle seat is way higher than it should (should). It took me a while to work up the courage to fully mate one of them. I was afraid the center pins would not line up and I would end up damaging the mating connector. Also the dielectric around the SO239 socket is not standard. There is a lot of air with a ring of physical dielectric. I can only hope they corrected this with the center diameter and dielectric constant. Otherwise it will be internally inductive. I wouldn't buy them again.
