, I have some absolutely amazing Spyderco products from knives to sharpeners. This product is not one of them. I bought it for pocket/backpack use and for turning burrs on my HSS (concave groove) turning tools. less polished than the thin triangular stones in my Spyderco Sharpmaker and after using the knife sharpening stone I ended up with a fairly dull edge. The stone doesn't look flat on its surfaces, the wear marks are shown through the steel, which looks like one of those textured, worn prints that kids in elementary school do with different materials. One star for granularity - I realize it's not "superfine" but I expected it to match "fine" granularity. Triangles sold by Spyderco. One star deducted for uneven and wavy surface quality. Another minus, the packaging was very difficult to open! I guess I shouldn't have had a problem as buying this item is related to owning a knife, but I didn't appreciate the challenge.
