Review on πŸ“± Bulletpoint Dash Mount Cell Phone Holder for Jeep Wrangler JK JKU (2011-2018) - Dual Ball Mounts for Action Camera and GPS Navigation - Compatible with iPhone & Android Smartphones by Jimmy Breaux

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Probably the BEST phone and GoPro mount in JK!

After trying three different JK mounts, I realized I needed a strong mount that would really hold the iPhone 12 Pro Max. The vent mounts don't work as the JK has large wings that are fully rotatable and wider than any vent mount I can find. Next mount was the Belkin Magsafe which works GREAT in a regular car but again the round vents and blades are fully rotatable. that doesn't sit well with JK. Next try was a long arm suction cup mount with rear suspension to move the mount up and down. Despite sticking to the surface, the phone blocked the view of the road. I saw this mount at Revain and found it to be the BEST solution. some 3M tape already attached to the device. So here are the clear instructions to ensure you install it correctly if you have a factory radio: 1) Remove the tray from the top of the JK dash. 2) Using a 7mm socket, remove the nut from the top making sure you don't drop it! 3) Remove dirt and dust that may be under the rubber tray. I used paper towels and windex. 4) Then take two or three alcohol swabs and wipe the ENTIRE SURFACE including the sides, bottom and top of the tray basket. 5) Let it dry completely. 6) Without removing the guards on the 3M tape, insert the nut into the mounting hole and align it with the hole you removed it from. 7) Make sure you can see how close the front edge needs to be as you don't want to remove and remove the pan. AS HE DOWN. 8) Now remove the guards and with the nut in the bracket, approach the top of the bin and insert the nut into the hole. 9) As you tighten the nut, see where the bracket should be pressed securely against the reservoir and the side closest to the passenger compartment. 10) Push the bracket down and back against the side of the bin closest to you AFTER tightening the 7mm nut. 11) Once the nut is tightened, use your hands to ensure a STRONG seal at the bottom and side of the strap. 12) Tighten the nut a few turns and push it back down. in.13) Tighten it fully - don't overdo it! 14) Leave to dry for 24 hours. 15) Now attach the bindings and adjust them to your size! I hope this helps as I've read that some people have had issues with how loose the mount was for them.

Pros
  • Sleek design
Cons
  • Pretty much everything is fine
