Good for temporary living

I bought this item because my apartment door had a 1/4 to 1/2 inch gap between the bottom of the door and the floor of the floor. Normally I wouldn't mind, but I kept finding centipedes crawling through a crack in my apartment. House centipedes are not welcome. I bought this door brush to fill the gap. I have carpet on the floor so a solid piece of wood or plastic wouldn't be ideal. This brush covered the gap and goes through my carpet quite well. It's probably not the longest-lasting device, but for a 12-month lease, it should perform reasonably well. You will likely need to trim/shorten your door closer to fit your door. Be careful. The plastic frame is easy to trim, any scissors will do. The brush itself, which fits into the frame, is metal and the bristles are not attached to the metal (they will stay put if you don't start messing with the metal. The brush can be bent or cut with a strong cutter and glue on the Apply edge that you cut. This will hold the bristles in place. I bent the brush back and forth until it was ready to snap off, then taped the edge with tape. That's enough.
