The quality is very good. The size is large enough if you are used to a cutting board with a very large surface (think commercial size). Very thick if that's what you like. Yes, but for those used to the lighter, smaller boards typically found in the average apartment, cleaning can be a bit of a hassle. Additionally, if you're short, its thickness raises the cutting surface noticeably and clearly above the counter it's standing on. If you can live with those things, I highly recommend this. Cook's Illustrated gave the highest recommendation to another executive of this company. This is a thinner (but heavier) endplate with more surface area (18x24).
