I have three Honeywell UV Sterilizers that are at least 10 years old. Both these lamps (LSE) and the new lamps from Honeywell (manufactured by Phillips) have keyways in their sockets that are smaller than the original lamps. This results in the bulb not fitting fully into the socket. This in turn prevents the lightbulb from lighting up. After a lot of trial and error and practically a complete UV block replacement, I found that a little cleaning and trimming around the keyways in the base allowed the lamp to fully seat. Be careful when doing this and avoid trying to force the bulb into the socket.
