As for the lens, it works great. Instant dimming, never had an issue with arcing and the delay is long enough not to be too bright but not so long as to get in the way. Here's a big old problem, gentlemen. Battery life. This thing instantly dies for you if you can't keep it in direct sunlight, charging up every moment you're not using it. And don't expect this little one to stay charged while you're welding. Your arc can't charge it enough for it to eventually stall. As for me, I started putting a hood on the dashboard of my truck so it could charge. And I can usually use it all day without any problems. But I'm not the whole shift under the hood. I think if you can charge it 5 hours a day you can weld about 2 hours. Pros are ten dollars. Cons - Cannot be used unless left in the sun every second when not in use. Friend? - Well, dammit, it's ten bucks.
