My zebra finches somehow kept pooping through the bars of the cage onto the wall. The color in our apartment is even, and if you try to wipe something with a damp cloth, it turns into a shiny stain. I was tired of retouching myself to death (and the building management was probably tired of me constantly asking for more paint) so I bought two of these, one extra just in case. I'm so glad I did! It's perfect for their cage, they really seem to enjoy it and the wall behind the cage remains intact. Easy to move to access the cage doors and tray underneath. So now we are all happy.
