I have a 2004 TV with HDMI but it doesn't support modern HDMI modes so my Xbox One, Nintendo Switch and Steam Link won't work with it. It does a good job of converting to analog S-Video and has a decent picture considering the format it's being converted to. Other similar devices I've used had very annoying motion artifacts, making them totally unsuitable for gaming. Of course, a modern TV with good HDMI would be better, but that's not an option at the moment. If you're using this on modern consoles, you'll get much better results by changing the input to 720p or lower instead of 1080 or higher. You can't get more than 480i using that, so there's no reason to push the resolution past the minimum.
