Review on Breville BSB510XL Control Immersion Blender by Will Porter

Revainrating 5 out of 5

I don't have a leakage problem

I was concerned by a few other reviews about food/liquid spilling down the chute but didn't come across it. To prevent this, there is a rubber seal. I hope these other two users had separate cases of this. So far so good - this hand blender is spacious and powerful, and I really like how the parts can be stacked together for storage. I had really bad luck trying to cut chocolate into a mini chopper. It did not work. I think it doesn't work very well for more complex topics. But it should be fine for something like herbs/parsley. Removing the bar isn't that easy - you have to press those buttons hard and make an effort. But I prefer this much more than the experience I've had with the Kitchenaid hand blender - it didn't stick together and I had to hold the pieces together when using it. So I was happy when the Breville snapped in so well and didn't fall apart without effort.

Pros
  • Slim design
Cons
  • I'm concerned about this
