Review on πŸ“± Raising Electronics 27U 4 Post Open Rack Frame: Adjustable Depth Server Rack Enclosure for 19 Inch Equipment by Dan Bobbert

Easy to install, stable and reliable

I am setting up a test station/lab to learn more about programming and I need a four post rack to house a small server and other equipment. This rack ticks all the right boxes: deep enough to hold an HP Proliant DL360 and high enough for everything else. It is indeed slightly taller than I need, but I'm sure the extra space will be filled soon enough. Installation took less than an hour, but it probably could have been quicker if I was in a hurry. There are plenty of nuts and bolts to hold everything together and the included cage nuts with M6 bolts keep everything in place. You can use all 4 racks, to accommodate various devices when you don't need the full depth. This is actually a minus, but even after tightening the screws there is some play in the corners if you apply a decent twisting motion. But on a level cement floor with appliances installed, there shouldn't be any reason to. With a decent UPS mounted underneath, this rack isn't going anywhere. If I get ambitious I could probably add some thin plywood or MDF to the sides and top to cover everything up for a neater look, but not today. The open rack provides full access to all controls for cable management and other connections. This is the first time I have received an offer from Revain for a small gift card for reviewing an item. I have already given several other reviews and will give the same review regardless. I'm not a high profile reviewer
