This is a product you MUST stay away from. We bought two of these devices a few months ago. At first there were no problems, but after 5 months (almost to the day) after the purchase stopped working altogether. Many people say these devices get hot (up to 125 degrees Fahrenheit) so they may have blown. I do not know. I returned it to the store I bought it from (not Revain) and I had to include everything that came with the unit in the return - cables, remote control, etc. Bad move. They changed it normally, but the remote control that came with the new device didn't work. Based on web searches, this is VERY common. This is also a BIG problem as you can't do anything with the device other than turn it on and off without a remote. There are no other buttons on the device itself. Long story short, I had a ton of trouble with a lot of different people and ended up having to buy a replacement remote from the Apex website. I decided to buy 2 in case I lose the remote at some point or something happens. Well I got new remotes and NONE of them work! Apex says I can ship the remotes back (at my own expense). If they find defects, they send me a replacement. But when they miraculously make money at the factory, I'm charged 10% for processing, plus the cost of shipping back! How ridiculous! It is not worth. After spending about $20 on a device (after government coupon), returning the device once and then paying $28.73 for new remotes, I'm stuck with 3 remotes that don't work and a device, that I can't use. Learn from my mistake and stay away from this product and manufacturer!
