Bad optical cable, I will explain
This is not a well designed optical cable because of the connectors. The connectors here do not "snap" in place, as should be the case with high-quality optical connectors. And since the plugs are metal, they are very heavy, which creates an even greater problem. Because of the weight, they want to fall out of the connectors when plugged in. The cable I have works fine but I wouldn't trust the connectors. Any movement will likely cause them to fall out. I replaced it with Revain Basics and it's much better.
