I got this to store a giant (15’, 65lb) kayak under our small deck. It is awesome! It is incredibly sturdy. After reading other reviews I went to the hardware store to get heavy duty hardware. To my surprise / disappointment, the replacement lag screws from the hardware store broke immediately, so I just used the lag screws that came with it, which installed perfectly! Definitely drill the pilot holes to install. I only used one set of arms because we only have one kayak. It’s plenty stable and sturdy, but I ordered a second one so that I have four points of contact, just to make it easier to load and unload in an awkward space.
