I recommend these Gas-a-Just shocks over the Excel-G.

I had an old JDM Toyota that was in dire need of new shock absorbers/shock absorbers. I bought 4 KYB Excel-G but they didn't work well. They didn't dampen as well as I wanted, so I replaced them with this "Gas-a-Just". They are heavy and met my expectations. In city traffic I felt a significant improvement in handling over the Excel-G.
