These "dog bones" fitted OEMs which I removed and lowered the rear of the bike. I adjusted the forks where the taper starts. This lowered the bike a little over an inch (lost ground clearance). I feel like this is a significant improvement for me (32 inch inseam) as it allows me to align my feet much better than I could. It also lowers the bike's center of gravity, which helps a little. I bought the black color and I am very satisfied with this product. YouTube videos cover the installation well.
