Basic Tools and Equipment Scan Tool

My 1999 Honda Civic LX had a check engine light on. He had about 181,000 miles. This tool does not require batteries as it uses your car's battery when you turn the key in the ignition. It then scans your vehicle within minutes. He will give you codes for all problems. These codes can be found on the internet to determine what the problems are. In my case, the tool stopped scanning and showed that there were no problems. I scanned again with the same result. After I turned off the tool and turned on the ignition, the Check Engine light went out. Somehow my engine light went out. There are higher quality tools that are more expensive, but they are great for scanning old cars easily.
