I had to take this bit because of its depth. I received a 1.2" diamond drill bit which was a solid piece (no teeth). Unfortunately this was not sufficient for my work and I could not find another that was deeper in the same style (no teeth). I had to purchase this product as it is about 2 inches deep but had prongs. I was cutting bathroom tile and the drill just broke the dowel I was drilling. I wanted to keep the peg so I could reuse it in case I wanted to close the hole, but the peg broke immediately as soon as I used this attachment. I went back to the original bit as I now had more room to work with. Because of the teeth, this bit is rough when it comes to concrete/mortar, which is fine if you don't want to leave a dowel for later use. I also encountered an issue with the wire mesh that was in the concrete behind the tile/wall as the teeth in the mesh kept twitching as I tried to walk slowly to avoid hitting the pipes. So I switched back to a shorter cutter but without teeth as it's smoother and won't snag on boulders and wire mesh when I'm going slow or even fast. I finally got some wood and went back to this piece and it cut through with no problem. If you have experience with this type of drill you know how to work with drills with and without teeth so I'd say if you know what to expect with teeth I'd say it's a solid one Bohrer acts. He does what he intends to do. I would like to find a piece of the same depth, with a diamond coating but no teeth.
