Review on ๐Ÿ”ง Aluminum Plastic Deburring Solution - STARVAST Product by Dang Esq

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Decent and well-made deburring tool

A nice feature of this tool is the spring-loaded blade change. Unlike the twist-to-lock types, this one never looses the blade lock, so you can rest assured to use it. There are three different blades in the kit, but the plastic holders for them aren't marked, so get started right away. Silver blades are suitable for stainless steel, dark blades for brass, aluminum, copper and other non-ferrous metals, as well as wood, and a thin blade for removing chips and holes. Please note that for other 4-blade tools, the thin blade is also used for plastic. I would rate this tool a 5 if it included a plastic blade as deburring plastic is often difficult without a dedicated blade. I'm tired of the thin blade that comes with the kit and it seems to work fine. The dark colored blade, which is said to be good for plastic, is a bit loose at first, which I've noticed with other blades primarily used for aluminum or brass. I would go for a thin plastic blade. I have tried and confirmed that the blades used by the GENERAL deburring tool are also suitable for this pen. You can get blades from General if you need special blades for aluminum and plastic, and then special blades for brass, copper and some more for ferrous metals. ADVICE. When the blade dulls don't throw it away, with a little work you can change its purpose with a Dremel tool and turn it into straight blades and a soft material scratch point. With a grinder and cutting wheel on a Dremel you can also make beautiful spiral blades that are great for thin plastic, paper and similar materials.

Pros
  • Rotating blades and comfortable grip
Cons
  • Some little things
